Design Studio Tour : 30X40 Design Workshop

A guided tour of my design studio: 30X40 Design Workshop. The final installment in the studio series and a detailed look at all the tools, organization, equipment, layout strategies and implements I use each day in my architecture practice and to create videos for the YouTube channel.

You’ll learn where I sourced my furniture, why I organize things the way I do, why I fly the Norwegian flag (and what’s behind it) and hear how such a simple building concept can influence the routines, productivity and rituals of daily life in the design studio.

If you’re curious about the design process, how creatives organize their spaces and want a peek at my most prized possessions, this is for you.

Smash that like button (it really does help)…and thanks as always for watching! Cheers…

  4. I’m not an artist or terribly into design but your videos are brilliant and your workspace is fantastic. Thanks for this and good on you.

  5. you seem to like tool ^^

  6. Flag to correct the symmetry, but the Norwegian flag is not symmetrical !

  7. Your studio is gorgeously practical. Honest question how do you keep this place so clean?? Do you dust everyday? Not an architect but my studio drives me crazy, I have to dust frequently. Maybe this happens because I live in a polluted city and you live in beautiful Maine. 🙂

  11. Would you like to add Turkish subtitles to your videos please

  12. 9:27 .. You have NO INTERNET!!??
How do you manage to upload all your videos using (presumably) expensive cell data?.. and sooo slow!

13:56 .. the flag is hung to hide the a/c which is not symmetrical within the room – yet, the Norwegian flag is not symmetrical. That would probably throw me off more 😛

  13. Hi Eric I request for a video of you playing one of your favorite instrument in the 30×40 studio
Otherwise thank you for the tour

    I just discover u channel ! And I so amazed with everything !! Thank u !!

  21. Great place, and you keep it so organized. I wonder if that compulsion to order things helps you as a designer or if it just makes disordered things that much more painful for you (I'm thinking of your off-center minisplit)

  22. You're such an inspirational professional.

  23. Sir, i am a student and i am doing b.arch… I am confused about where should i go to work as an intern… What things i should consider… ?
