Brand New Japanese House Tour

Ever wondered what a brand new Japanese house looks like? Well, join me on a complete guided tour of a new home in Edogawa, Tokyo, Japan. (correction: ¥4,880,000JPY is about $43,500 USD right now, not $37,000, sorry)

  1. Well, the shoe removal-thing is not that unique to Japan. Here in Finland it is customary to remove your shoes in a small room(called "windcloset") before entering the house proper. This is only when entering a private home. If it is a public establishment, you can keep your shoes on.

In Finland, we have a lot of snow and rain, and bringing it inside with your shoes to your(or someone else's) living space is considered very bad manners. On the other hand, i do not know anyone who uses flippers inside their home here, because they are considered shoes.

  2. I love the realtor XD Great video!

  3. bro, this house is heaven <3

  7. house outlook is ugly.

  8. Where to dry clothes?

  9. Yep, this guy would have sold me the house too 😀 Subtitles would have been cool though.

  10. Why is the shower mirror at crotch level in Japan?

  11. The God Emperor of Mankind

    4:55 Denmark are you ok?

  12. I like this house and it seems very well made.

  13. Without bieng a civilian within Japan is it possible to purchase a house in Japan?

  14. Realtor was awesome, omg I love John's channel, I've been a fan for years! House was awesome it makes me miss living in Tokyo best 2 years ever!

  15. What is the English equivalent of when he kinda bows his head a little and lowers his voice to say “hai” or “hi” or is it “aye”? Is that like saying okay? I found it fascinating it is such a cool gesture

  16. If I were to move into this home the realtor would have to live with me at least an extra month just in case I forget how to flush the toilet lol

  17. Your realtor was really awesome.

  18. Personally I think that house is worth it… The realtor was amazing… Nice presentation…

  19. such a nice house. good use of space, unlike american homes that are ugly with so much wasted space. big homes are don't impressed me. I like this home much better.

  20. Great video of showing the house, there needs to be a translation of what he is saying.

  21. This is why Japan is awesome in many areas.

  22. Realor has to show me what a house is does.not!

  23. Dang not well designed at all .really cheap ,in Japan? I guess when it's just disposable.not even any plugs that's 1920

  24. 8:48 "showaaah"

  25. OK, IM buying that house, I simply love the door stop.

  26. Hi_Im_random_person

    * Walks down stairs
MOM! CAN WE MOVE TO JAPAN!!

  27. Watching a year later. I was waiting for the vid to show the entrance of the house. That part where it is compulsory to remove shoes and have some cabinets intended for footwear. What's really nice is it's a step lower than the floor of the main house so even foreign guest who aren't keen in removing their footwear are reminded to do so. That for me is one of the best feature of Japanese homes.

  28. Why are there no ovens in a Japanese kitchen? That's a basic thing here in Germany like a fridge and even about 90% of German households have a dishwasher… I was just wondering.. Japan is known for its technology and invitation.

  29. 4:55 What the heck is going on in Denmark??

  30. $400,000 usd still cheap.

  31. This realtor is amazing on so many different levels
